Best 2010 Pontiac Vibe Trailer Wiring Options

Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Pontiac Vibe, we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring. Here we have the two best wiring options for your Vibe. Here on this side we're going to have the Curt, part number C56035, and over here we're going to have the Tekonsha, part number 118460.With the Curt, you're going to have 3 amps per circuit for your stop and turn and 6 amps for your taillight, whereas your Tekonsha, you're only going to have 2.1 amps per circuit for your stop and turn and 4.2 amps for your taillights. Because you have to run your power wire through a grommet in the back, your Curt kit is going to come with some black silicone, whereas your Tekonsha is not going to have that. Now your Tereshkova modular box is going to built a little bit better. It has a potting in here that's going to hold your wires in place, and that potting is completely filling the inside of this box. What that does, is if this box was ever to come loose inside the vehicle, the potting that's inside is going to help protect the wires and keep them from disconnecting. Both wiring harnesses are going to install exactly the same. more

Trailier Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Pontiac G8

Today on our 2008 Pontiac G8 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Circuit Protected Converter with Surface Mount Technology. Part number C56175. Here's what this wiring is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see we've got full access to our trunk and it doesn't take up any space. If we lift up our cover here you'll see that our wiring's conveniently tucked down in the spare tire carrier. What this wiring is going to do is be sure you have four bolt power back at you're trailer and cargo carrier. Behind here there's a module box tucked away that that module box converts the power from all the signals on the vehicle and condenses it down to send it through these four wires to make sure that your trailer is able to signal properly, along with your vehicle. With this kit it does tap into the wiring on the back side of the taillights, but with where the taillight wiring is on this vehicle, it's nice and simple to do that. more
